About Caroline Elgin
Caroline is a 29 year old young lady, who has cerebral palsy due to trauma at birth. She graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the Art Institute. She uses the touch pad on her Mac and various programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator, to simply, but expressively, capture the emotions she feels from animals, creating art that is happy and unique. Caroline is most often inspired by her love of dogs and horses. She always has her service dog, Shelly, from Canine Companions by her side, and enjoys both therapeutic riding and carriage driving at Sprout Therapeutic Riding and Education Center in Aldie, VA. Her favorite place to be in "A Place to Be", an expressive arts therapy program in Middleburg, VA. Caroline enjoys volunteering for these non profits, and often sells her art as a fund raiser for these organizations. Caroline's work has been featured at shows in Virginia and in Boston. She has won numerous local art show awards, and sells her designs (many of which feature dogs) at local Middleburg, VA shops and through her website, www.labradorabledesigns.com. She enjoys doing custom work of peoples' animals. If there is something you would like to see her create, contact her at labradorabledesigns@gmail.com Profile photo by Tylir Penton.
